Kessenich is een dorp in Belgisch-Limburg en een deelgemeente van de gemeente Kinrooi. Kessenich ligt in het meest noordoostelijke punt van België.Kessenich is de meest noordoostelijke plaats van België. Het bestaat uit een kerkdorp en diverse kleinere woonkernen. Hiervan zijn Borgitter, 'de Dolen' en 'de Hoeven' oude gehuchten. Daarnaast ontstond er in de 20e eeuw ook bewoning in 'de Schutteheide' , in 'de Hezer Heide' en 'Aan het Schuttevendelen' .
