Het gebouw van de Oude Post (het vroegere museum Kusthistories) dateert uit 1926 en was toen inderdaad het postgebouw voor Middelkerke. Vandaag is het een toerismebureau en bezoekerscentrum, waar regelmatig tijdelijke tentoonstellingen plaatsvinden. Het oorspronkelijke ontwerp van architect M. de la Croix bleef mooi bewaard en werd in 2001 erkend als beschermd monument.
