De kerk staat niet alleen hoog, ze staat er ook stoer en robuust bij met haar 8-kantige toren. De toren dateert van de 13de eeuw, terwijl de rest van de kerk in het midden van de 18de eeuw werd gebouwd en classicistisch van vorm is. Ga gerust eens binnen, want vooral het rococo-stukwerk met rocaille-en schelpmotieven is best de moeite. De hemelse klanken komen er uit een origineel Van Petegem-orgel dat in 1789 gebouwd werd.
