Wist je dat alle inwoners van Itterbeek in 1677 moesten vluchten voor de rovende en gewelddadige Franse, Hollandse en Duitse legers die de streek onveilig maakten. De bevolking vluchtten massaal naar Anderlecht waar ze onderdak kregen. In 1675 hadden de inwoners van Vlezenbeek hen dat al eens voorgedaan. Ook zij vluchtten naar Anderlecht.
