Aan het begin van de Chemin-de-Messe, een geplaveid pad dat langs de flank van een heuvel naar de oude kerk van Saint-Étienne-au-Mont leidt, verrijst een Christusbeeld op een houten kruis, vermoedelijk uit de 14e eeuw. Het is op sommige plaatsen gerestaureerd (armen) en rust op een omlijste sokkel. Het kruis heeft een driehoekig afdak met daarboven een stenen kruis. Deze constructie zou dateren uit 1886 als men het monogram mag geloven: 'pItIe MIserICorDe seIg(n)euVr eXaVCez-noVs faIbLes peCheVrs'.
