Stop even aan de Stadswaag, genoemd naar de hoofdactiviteit van het plein vroeger: hier werden goederen van kooplui gewogen. De plek is ook bekend van een zwaar bombardement tijdens de Eerste Wereldoorlog. In de jaren zestig was dit dé uitgaansbuurt van de stad, samen met de Ossenmarkt.
