Volgens de literatuur en huidige eigenaar zou de woning afgebeeld staan, in de linker bovenhoek, op het schilderij "De parabel van de blinden" van Pieter Bruegel de Oude (circa 1568). Dit lijkt weinig waarschijnlijk. Op het schilderij staat de woning afgebeeld als een landhuis met trapgevels. Het landhuis is wel duidelijk afgebeeld op een figuratieve kaart met de goederen van de abdij van ter Kameren van 1716. Het staat er afgebeeld als een woning van vier traveeën en twee bouwlagen onder een zadeldak. Deze afbeelding komt overeen met de noordgevel van het woonhuis, het enige verschil is dat er zich op de tekening boven de tweede travee een dakvenster bevond, dit is niet meer aanwezig.
