Park van ongeveer 6,2 hectare, gelegen net buiten de middeleeuwse omwalling, waarvan de vier poorten werden gesloopt in de achttiende eeuw, de vesten bleven bestaan tot 1890. Oorspronkelijk maakten de gronden van het park deel uit van de uitgestrekte landerijen van de familie d'Aubremé, die haar eigendom verkocht voor de realisatie van een nieuwe woonzone in de nabijheid van het station, zie d'Aubreméstraat.
