De Zilverreiger ligt in het schilderachtige dorp Weert vlakbij de Schelde en de Oude Schelde. Je ontdekt er het verhaal van de Klein-Brabantse mandenmaker en de context waarin hij leefde.
Het vlechtmuseum houdt de wijmenteelt en de mandenmakersnijverheid in ere met workshops voor groepen. Jonge kinderen kunnen een mandje leren vlechten met pitriet. Probeer na afloop van je bezoek zeker het Slijkneusbier of -koekje in de herberg of op het terras!
