Hoewel geen eigenlijke bron in de strikte zin, toch is het uiteinde van de betonnen buis het punt waar de waterloop aan de oppervlakte komt, na een ondergronds parcours van 200 m vanaf de oorspronkelijke bron. De bovenloop van deze beek, waarvan we de naam niet kennen, werd inderdaad ingebuisd in de jaren ’70. De roestkleur van het water getuigt van de ijzerhoudende ondergrond. Verderop voedt deze beek een vijver, en nog een tweede… waar de Brusselaars misschien ooit zullen kunnen zwemmen.
