Chimay is een stad in de Belgische provincie Henegouwen. De stad telt ruim 9800 inwoners. Chimay ligt in het zuiden van de provincie, in de Laars van Henegouwen, grenzend aan de provincie Namen en aan Frankrijk.
Op het grondgebied van Chimay, in de deelgemeente Forges, bevindt zich de bron van de Oise, een belangrijke bijrivier van de Seine. Chimay en de naburige gemeente Momignies zijn de enige delen van België die in het stroomgebied van de Seine liggen.
