Blagoëvgrad is een oblast in het zuidwesten van Bulgarije. De hoofdstad is de gelijknamige stad en de oblast heeft 305.123 inwoners .
De oblast is qua oppervlakte een van de grootste oblasten van Bulgarije. In het westen grenst Blagoëvgrad aan Noord-Macedonië en in het zuiden aan de Griekse departementen Serres en Drama. Verder grenst het aan de Bulgaarse oblasten Kjoestendil in het noorden, Sofia in het noordoosten, Pazardzjik in het oosten en Smoljan in het zuidoosten.
