Het Jura is een kanton in Zwitserland. De naam is afgeleid van de Jura-bergketen, waar het zich bevindt. Na het referendum van 1975 en andere latere referenda werd het noordelijke deel van de bergketen, dat behoort tot het kanton Bern, een autonoom kanton met een oppervlakte van 838 km² en 69.200 inwoners, met Delémont als hoofdstad, terwijl de rest binnen het kanton Bern bleef. Het grondgebied van het kanton Jura is verdeeld in drie districten:
Het grondgebied wordt gevormd door de Jura-berrange, die de naam aan het gebied geeft, en wordt gedomineerd door de hoogtes van Chasseron, Chasseral en Suchet. Naast de onderliggende bergketens van de Jura ligt de Wiessenstein.
