Gingst is een gemeente in de Duitse deelstaat Mecklenburg-Voor-Pommeren. De gemeente maakt deel uit van het Landkreis Vorpommern-Rügen. Gingst telt 1.311 inwoners. Bij een grote brand in 1950 ging een groot deel van de plaats in vlammen op. Bezienswaardig is de St. Jacob-kirche met 18de-eeuws orgel.
