Een goed bewaarde toren als één van de overblijvselen van de stadswallen van vóór 1200. Een tijdlang diende hij als gevangenis en werd in 1879 omgebouwd tot watertoren, waaraan nog een peilschaal aan de buitenkant herinnert. Na 1945 verving men de latere neo-gotische kantelen bekroning door het oorspronkelijke pannendak.
