Het Kleist-Theater was een operahuis en toneelhuis dat in 1945 in Frankfurt werd geopend. Het werd in 1952 vernoemd naar de bekendste zoon van de stad, schrijver Heinrich von Kleist. In 2000 sloot de gemeentelijke instelling.
Van 1840 tot 1842 werd er op Wilhelmsplatz 22 volgens de ontwerpen van Karl Friedrich Schinkel door stadsarchitect Emil Flaminius een theatergebouw opgericht, dat op 1 november 1842 werd geopend met Lortzings opera Zar en Zimmermann en dat voortaan het Stads theater Frankfurt huisvestte. Het theater had oorspronkelijk 800, later 609 zitplaatsen. In het voorjaar van 1945 werd het door bommen verwoest.
