Verla is een 19e-eeuws dorp in de Finse gemeente Kouvola, dat gekenmerkt wordt door zijn molens. De eerste molen was in 1872 gebouwd door Hugo Nauman, maar deze brandde vier jaar later af. In 1882 werd vervolgens door Gottlieb Kreidl en Louis Haenel een hout- en kartonmolen gebouwd die uiteindelijk tot 1954 dienst zou doen. Daarna werd in de molen een museum opgezet gericht op molens, waarbij de meeste machines van de molen werden behouden.
