Bischwiller is een gemeente in het Franse departement Bas-Rhin . De gemeente maakt deel uit van het arrondissement Haguenau-Wissembourg. Bischwiller telde op 1 januari 2019 12.746 inwoners.
De plaats begon als jachtdomein van de bisschoppen van Straatsburg. In de 12e eeuw werd Bischwiller een heerlijkheid. In 1263 werd het kleine dorp afgebrand door de Straatsburgers tijdens een conflict met hun bisschop. De heren van Bischweiler zetelden in het kasteel van Tiefenthal, dat in de 18e eeuw werd afgebroken.
