Saint-Tropez is een kleine havenplaats aan de Côte d'Azur in het departement Var. Het is sinds de jaren 50 een trefpunt van kunstenaars en de beau monde. Er wonen ongeveer 6000 mensen en wordt bezocht door 5 miljoen mensen per jaar. Bezienswaardig is de citadel en de 18e-eeuwse kerk. Vanaf de pier Mole duPortalet heeft men uitzicht op de bergtoppen van het Esterel-gebergte. Tegenover het stadhuis ligt de route naar de barokkerk waar het borstbeeld van de H. Torpes is geplaatst. Men treft hier in het stadscentrum aan de haven aan de Quai Suffren ook het standbeeld aan van de bekende admiraals van Frankrijk, de Bailli de Suffren die hier na zijn militaire carrière verbleef. Ook de schrijver Guy de Maupassant heeft hier gewoond. Stranden zijn te vinden bij Tahiti- of Moorea beach. Blouch is voor naturisten.
