Welkom in het huis van de koningen van Frankrijk! Het kasteel van Fontainebleau wordt gekenmerkt door acht eeuwen vorstelijke aanwezigheid - Philippe IV le Bel, Henri IV, François I en Napoleon I - van de middeleeuwen tot de 19e eeuw. Het kasteel, dat sinds 1981 op de Werelderfgoedlijst van de UNESCO staat, is een architectonisch juweeltje en herbergt opmerkelijke meubels. De hoefijzervormige trap, het Chinese museum en de Grand Parterre van André Le Nôtre behoren tot de meesterwerken.
