Jean-Baptiste André Godin produceerde verwarmingsapparatuur. Wist je dat aan het eind van de 19de eeuw men geen goed hittebestendig glas had. Men gebruikt toen een doorzichtig gelaagd miberaal voor dat hittebestendig was. Een fyllisilikaat dat gekend is als Muscoviet, genoemd naar de vindplaats.
Hier in het museum zie je nog exemplaren van kachels staan met Muscoviet als venstertje.
