Wist u dat? Tulle, beroemd om zijn wapenfabrieken, zich patriottisch toonde tijdens de Duitse bezetting. Toen werd de "verzetsstrijder" een gemartelde stad na de aanval op een garnizoen op 9 juni 1944. De Champ des Martyrs, een herdenkingsplaats, herinnert aan deze episode.
