Brewood is een soort mekka voor muziek uit de jaren zeventig: Roy Wood van Wizzard liet zijn dochter Holly Wood naar een nabijgelegen school gaan en Jim Lea van Slade woont aan de rand van de wijk. Meer recentelijk ontstond er opwinding toen het gerucht de ronde deed dat Jas Mann van Babylon Zoo een huis vlakbij de kerk had gekocht. Martin Gilks, drummer van de Britse popband The Wonder Stuff, groeide op in Brewood. Siân Reeves, de Britse actrice die vooral bekend is van haar rol als Sydney Henshall in de in Manchester opgenomen televisieserie Cutting It, groeide ook op in Brewood.
