De bomaanslag in Brighton was een bomaanslag bij het Grand Hotel in de Engelse kustplaats Brighton op 12 oktober 1984.
Patrick Magee, lid van de Provisional Irish Republican Army, plaatste een tijdbom met de bedoeling premier Margaret Thatcher en leden van haar kabinet om het leven te brengen. Deze verbleven in het hotel voor het jaarlijkse partijcongres van de Conservatieve Partij. Terwijl Thatcher ternauwernood ontsnapte, vielen er vijf doden, onder wie twee vooraanstaande leden van de Conservatieve Partij, en raakten 31 personen gewond.
