Het eiland Lewis of Isle of Lewis , is in principe het grootste en noordelijkste eiland van de Buiten-Hebriden, maar hangt eigenlijk vast aan Harris, waarmee het samen Leòdhas agus na Hearadh of Lewis with Harris uitmaakt, en de grens tussen beide is niet duidelijk getrokken. De hoofdstad Stornoway is op Lewis gelegen, en het eiland telt dan ook het grootste inwonersaantal van de archipel.
