Les Houmets liggen ten oosten van Guernsey in de Kanaaleilanden. Hun naam is afgeleid van een verkleinwoord van hou, een Normandisch/Guernésiais woord dat eilandjes betekent. Het zijn getijdeneilanden.
Onder de eilandjes bevinden zich Houmet Benest/Houmet Benêt, Houmet Paradis en Houmet Hommetol. Hoewel Victor Hugo suggereert dat ze zwaar geërodeerd zijn door steengroeveactiviteiten, is Victor Coysh het er niet mee eens en zegt:
