De Lagan-vallei ( Iers : Cluain an Lagáin , Ulster Scots : Glen Lagan ) is een gebied in Noord-Ierland tussen Belfast en Lisburn . De Lagan is een beroemde rivier die uitmondt in Belfast Lough . Voor een gedeelte maakt de rivier deel uit van de grens tussen de provincies Antrim en Down .
Het heeft een aantal interessante functies, waaronder een jaagpad dat langs de rivier de Lagan loopt. Het jaagpad is populair bij wandelaars, hardlopers, fietsers, hondenbezitters enz. Het is een zeer mooie en rustige omgeving en is ideaal om te wandelen, fietsen enz. Het jaagpad begint in het Stranmillis- gebied in het zuiden van Belfast en loopt helemaal naar Lisburn . De fietsroute maakt deel uit van de nationale fietsroute 9. Er zijn een aantal "off-route" mountainbikeroutes langs het jaagpad.
Lagan Valley is een Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). De AONB werd opgericht in 1965 en het grootste deel ervan ligt in de regio Greater Belfast .
