Achalkalaki is een kleine stad in de zuidelijke provincie Samtsche-Dzjavacheti in Georgië. De stad telt 8295 inwoners en is de hoofdplaats van het gelijknamige district .
Achalkalaki ligt op de rand van het vulkanische plateau van Dzjavacheti, op ongeveer 30 km van de grens met Turkije. Negentig procent van de bevolking van de stad is etnisch Armeniër. De stad ging na de Russisch-Turkse Oorlog over van Ottomaans naar Russisch bezit.
