Het Sormano Astronomisch Observatorium is een astronomisch observatorium ten noorden van Milaan, Italië. Gelegen nabij de Zwitserse grens op 1000 meter hoogte in het bergdorp Sormano in de pré-Alpen, werd het observatorium privé gefinancierd door de Gruppo Astrofili Brianza en gebouwd in 1986.
Het observatorium staat bekend om zijn astrometrische waarnemingen van kleine planeten en kometen in het zonnestelsel. Na de eerste lichtinval in januari 1989 hebben verschillende amateur-astronomen zoals Marco Cavagna, Valter Giuliani, Piero Sicoli, Pierangelo Ghezzi, Francesco Manca, Paolo Chiavenna, Graziano Ventre en Augusto Testa hun ontdekkingen van kleine planeten gedaan bij het observatorium met behulp van de 50-centimeter "Cavagna Telescope", een Ritchey–Chrétien astrograph. Astronomen in Sormano hebben hun eigen aangepaste software ontwikkeld om vervolgwaarnemingen te maken van nabij-aardse objecten zoals 4179 Toutatis en 99942 Apophis.
