Het Venlo-incident was de ontvoering en gevangenneming op 9 november 1939, op Nederlands grondgebied, door de Duitse Sicherheitsdienst van twee Britse agenten van de Secret Intelligence Service in de eerste maanden van de Tweede Wereldoorlog.De Britse geheime agenten hadden Duitse officieren ontmoet in Venlo, die hen vertelden dat zij een aanslag op Hitler voorbereidden. De volgende ontmoeting was geregeld door Duitse RSHA- en SD-agenten, onder wie Walter Schellenberg, die zich voordeden als in Nederland verblijvende Duitse politieke vluchtelingen. Hun bedoeling was het vergaren van informatie over de Britse geheime diensten en het verstrekken van valse informatie aan hen om de Britse geheime dienst te misleiden.
