Met zijn nabijheid tot de film- en televisie-industrie is Westward Beach in Point Dume een populaire filmlocatie. De landingen in Normandië van de film D-Day the Sixth of June werden gefilmd op Point Dume. Ook belangrijke scènes in de Planet of the Apes-serie werden gefilmd op Westward Beach in Point Dume. Gedurende een hele zomer lag de grote replica van het Vrijheidsbeeld uit de beroemde slot scène begraven aan de zuidkant van Pirate's Cove.
In Iron Man (film) ligt Tony Stark's enorme kusthuis op Point Dume aan de rand van een klif met uitzicht op de Stille Oceaan. Het huis is echter computergegenereerd, aangezien er geen huizen letterlijk op de daadwerkelijke klif staan.
