Hoeve Vandenbroucke

No. 135. So-called "Hoeve Vandenbroucke". Stable with inscription "M I 1763" on N. side wall (before restoration said to be "MF 1763"), and barn with "HMF 1778" and heart-shaped mason's mark on N. side wall. Farm indicated on Ferraris map (1770-1778) with separate components, but with gr.m. same location and in gr.m. the same arrangement in the Atlas der Buurtwegen (1843). U-shaped farmhouse, contiguous by later extensions, low components under mainly gable roofs (Flemish tiles), including with overhanging eaves on modillons and loading window under sloping roof. Anchored red brick construction embellished with yellow stone, partly painted white on pecked plinth. Arrangement all around rechth. Courtyard with lime tree; access to the S.W. between lime trees. To the N., dwelling house of two + seven trav. with renovated yard. To the E., barn with basket-arched openings for, among other things, wagon house, bag and threshing floor, also elongated ash holes. W. volume dated 1763 on projecting part of present stable with traces of braiding, in S. stable part elongated Bohemian caps of brick on belt arches. To the S. of the barn dung heap. To the N. of dwelling house, small stable. Numerous renovations and more recent extensions.
