De GR 128 Vlaanderenroute doet haar naam alle eer aan: dit GR-pad doorkruist gans Vlaanderen, van het West-Vlaamse Kemmel in het westen tot het Voerense Teuven in het uiterste oosten. Maar liefst 473 km wandelwegen leiden de wandelaar langs de verrassend rijke variatie aan natuurschoon en cultuurhistorisch erfgoed die Vlaanderen te bieden heeft.

De GR 128 Vlaanderenroute is slechts een deel van het GR 128-verhaal. GR-paden laten zich immers niet tegenhouden door landsgrenzen. De GR 128 loopt zo’n 170 km door Frankrijk en start in het dorpje Wissant, halfweg tussen Cap Griz-Nez en Cap Blanc-Nez. Het eindpunt van de GR 128 ligt in de Duitse stad Aken.
