The starting point of this hike is the central square in Torgny. Here you will find plenty of parking near the authentic washing place and the Brasserie La Romanette. Torgny, the southernmost village in Belgium, is probably the prettiest that Gaume (Belgian Lorraine) has to offer. It rightly belongs to the most beautiful villages of Wallonia. The buildings are made of yellow regional stone. Together with the red roofs with pantiles and the colorful shutters, they create a Mediterranean atmosphere. Right from the washing place, you leave the village center via Rue Escofiette. At the end of this street, turn left into Rue de l’Ermitage. You pass La Grappe d’Or, an excellent star restaurant, and the Albert Paul square with the tourist office. Slowly you climb out of the village. Ignore all side paths. Don’t forget to look back occasionally to enjoy the beautiful view.

After about 750 meters, you reach the Chapelle Notre-Dame de Luxembourg. You are now on open ground. Continue to follow the road. Behind Croix des Aisements (333 meters high), you have the Bois de la Côte on your left and a view of France on your right. The border is only 300 meters from the hiking trail. At a traffic sign, the gravel path through the woods begins. You continue to follow this. After just over a kilometer, you find a wooden post with a sign bearing a green rectangle on a white background to your right. Here, you leave the wide path and enter the Bois de la Côte to the left.

Walking slowly downhill, you wander through mixed forest. This path can be quite muddy, so suitable shoes are essential. You follow the green markings, which lead you after quite a sharp right turn to Ruisseau de Radru. At this junction of forest paths, you turn left, thus leaving the path marked with green markings. You follow the small valley of Ruisseau de Radru downhill. When you leave the forest, you have a view of the village of Lamorteau. In the distance, the large paper factory of Harnoncourt disrupts the beautiful view. You ignore all side paths and walk until you reach Lamorteau.

At the T-junction, you turn left into Grand Rue. Follow this until you reach a fork at a refuge island. Here, turn left into Rue des Tannières. A fairly steep climb quickly takes you several dozen meters higher. At the height of a power pole marked H.T.31-105, you leave the road and go left on a path through the meadow to a wildlife observation point. Here, you follow an ascending forest path. This gradually flattens out until you finally come to a broader, paved forest path. Follow this to the right. Gently descending, you finally reach a T-junction with a sign for Au Poirier du Loup. Here, turn right, passing the vineyards. At the village sign of Torgny at the intersection, go straight ahead. This is Rue Cavé. Walk down to the square with the red courtyard. Here, turn left to return to the starting point.
