Lieteberg Visitor Centre in Zutendaal is one of the four gateways to the Hoge Kempen National Park. Moreover, you are here in the most wooded municipality in Flanders.

The visitor center, where our walk starts, was inaugurated in 2005. It was given a place in a former sand and gravel quarry and now houses various attractions, which you can get acquainted with after this trip through forests, over heathlands, hills and along babbling streams. For example, the Lieteberg is the very first barefoot path in Flanders, 3 km long. But also the interactive insect museum Entomopolis, the bee center where you learn everything about the task of the beekeepers and the unique butterfly dome where hundreds of native butterflies found shelter, deserve a visit. Our walk, a combination of tours along the junction network of the National Park, takes you through the wonderful nature of the 'greenest sweet in Flanders', as Zutendaal likes to call itself.
