This 48 kilometer long cycle route goes from Princenhage to the barn churches in Gilze and Chaam.
The route mainly goes through the forests of Ulvenhout, Chaam and Breda.
On a few sections of the route you will find few cyclists.
The start and end point is at the former beer brewery de Koe in Princenhage.
After the peace of Münster in 1648, the public practice of the Catholic religion was banned in this region.
Catholics had to take refuge in barn churches for their worship.
This situation lasted until 1795 when the Batavian Republic replaced the old regime and Catholics were given the same rights as Protestants.
In 1853 the episcopal hierarchy was restored in the Netherlands and many Catholic churches were built.
