Laarne is known for its castle and as a witch community. Around 1600, six people were persecuted for witchcraft, four of whom ended up on the pyre. The castle is visible from all sides along the route. We start from the parking lot at the castle and walk right along the unpaved path. Newly opened 'Slow Paths' are also included. You can shorten the route to 12 km by simply walking along the avenue to the castle from the church of Laarne (with your back to the entrance of the church, just go straight ahead).
