Through the Green of the Kempen

We start our journey at the St. Carolus Borromeus Parish Church, located in the square in Mol Rauw. There is plenty of parking available and space to gather with our Vespas.

From this point, we head towards Postel, crossing the historic Bailey Bridge. This bridge, dating from World War II, was built to transport tanks and trucks over the water after the original bridge was destroyed. Extra caution is advised in wet weather, as the wooden planks of the bridge can become very slippery.

After the bridge, we continue under the impressive trees that provide us shelter from both rain and sunshine until we arrive in Postel. Here, you will find various cozy eateries and beautiful walking and cycling routes. There is also a small shop where you can buy authentic Postel bread and abbey cheese.

Although Postel is inviting, we continue to enjoy even more of the green surroundings and rural roads. After about 34 kilometers, we stop at De Ijswens in Oud-Turnhout for a cup of coffee or a delicious ice cream. For those who prefer to take a break at a larger establishment, a short detour to Corsendonks Hof is an option.

With our thirst quenched, we continue our ride and pass the Molen van 't Veld, located near the Zegge in Geel Ten Aard. Here, you will also find the Bakery Museum. We cross the Bocholt-Herentals canal and continue through beautiful rural and wooded areas until we reach Mol City. Via the villa neighborhoods, we ride again on picturesque rural roads until we arrive at the finish line in Mol Rauw.
