Zillertal Valley Cycle Path

Its flat terrain, gentle elevation gain of 140 meters, and beautiful scenery make the Zillertal Valley Cycle Path the ideal option for leisure cyclists and families. The 31 kilometers follow the Ziller River downstream from Mayrhofen to Strass and pass a rich variety of rewarding sights and attractions. The Zillertal Valley Cycle Path runs along the flat, broad and sunny valley floor valley on paved roads and gravel trails.
Great sights and attractions en route are perfect places to take a break from cycling, including adventure parks, outdoor swimming pools and playgrounds. The excellently signed cycling path passes several train stations where you can get aboard historic Zillertal Train to shorten your journey.
Beginning in Mayrhofen, the most popular tourist resort of Zillertal Valley, the first 5-kilometer long section of this rewarding cycle path travels through the villages of Schwendau, Ramsau and Hippach. Hugged by the lofty Zillertal, Tux and Kitzbühel Alps, the ride continues through awesome sceneries. After another four kilometers you will reach the picturesque village of Zell am Ziller, venue of the annual Gauder Fest in early May and home to the Arena Coaster, a state-of-the-art gravitational hybrid of an alpine slide and a roller coaster. The Zell Recreation Park is a 45,000 square meter area filled with a rich variety of thrilling activities for families.
