To Orval Abbey

We leave Bouillon and leave the Semois valley by taking the Rando Vélo n°7. After 3 km, we are 150 m higher and we leave this bike path to return by bike to the Semois by a steep descent. We now follow the quiet N665 towards Herbeumont and Florenville. There we cycle via the Route de Williers (a forest road) to the French border. From here we follow a stream into the valley called La noire Fontaine and then cycle via a steep climb to the junction with the N88. There we cross towards Pin where we turn right twice to go down the N840 to Orval Abbey. Ideal for a stopover in the nearby A l'Ange Gardien where you can taste the Orval Vert from the barrel!

With fresh sugars in our legs, we return to the path from where we then continue the road to the right, slightly kimming, through the forest of Orval towards Izel. From there, we cycle through the forest of Chiny and along the dam of the Vierre towards Bertrix. A few kilometers further we look for the Rando Vélo N°7 near the village of Blanche-Oreilles which will take us back to Bouillon via the villages of Offagne, Fays-les-Veneurs, Nollevaux and Bellevaux.
