A walk from the Original Walks site on easy roads through fields and forests with streams that simply spill out of the street or path. Condroz is a geographical region that extends over the province of Hainaut through Namur to Liège. The walk takes place in a nature reserve in front of the castle of Modave located on a rock above the Hoyoux, tributary of the Meuse. Water from the Hoyoux springs is collected in underground galleries and directed towards the Brussels conurbation. The area was the subject of heavy fighting during World War II and ammunition and weapons were dropped on the vast battlefield with parachutes. You can print the route description on the OT website and take the GPS with you as a reserve. Parking at the church of Vyle-et-Tharoul or 50 meters further at the intersection of the main road and the rue du Ruisseau. Halfway after 9 km a sofa with a beautiful view. A few comments! After 13 km in the description is "you have a view of a house in the valley", due to the vegetation of trees and shrubs that was no longer visible, the path is easy to find. After 14 km there is an adventurous path that takes you over rocks with a beautiful view, but those who do not find the way and take the GR path 10 meters further should turn left at the top of a T-junction to enjoy the beautiful view.
