With a beautiful view and passage to the mighty castle.
The route starts at the Office du tourisme in Vielsalm. Ample parking options.
Immediately it is a steep climb to the outside of the town. Beautiful view . This first part can be followed the marking with the green diamond, but after the steep part it goes to the right to the viewpoint of Bec du Corbeau instead of straight ahead. We also return to the walk with the green diamond, but in Bèche it goes left instead of right.
Via the Bèche it goes to Salmchateau and then returns via the Salm to the starting point.
In Salmchateau there are a few catering establishments for a stopover. Here is the Madeleine bridge with the Château des Comtes de Salm in the background. Victor Hugo made a drawing of this during his visit in 1862.
