A few short stretches are not car-free because this is simply impossible in Elewijt. The aim has been to make the neighborhood road loop as varied as possible: over paved pavers to mud roads, from forest paths to field roads: you will encounter them all!

The changes to the original loop are the following:
1. On the Senne, Buurtweg 5 is taken to the Schumanlaan, where it was interrupted. The Shumanlaan is a new road at the Weerde-Hofstade-Zemst exit complex. You can take the Schumanlaan over the E19 and therefore skip the Voetweg 22 and Buurtweg 4 (Heirbaan).

2.On the E19 take the first road on the right (Broekstraat, Buurtweg 9 - the historically most important between Zenne and Barebeek from Zemst to Perk and beyond-). Then take the third street on the right (the first two are dead ends) -Heirweg, Buurtweg 8-. At the grove, 20m before the Barebeekwad, you join the original loop on the left -Voetweg 46-.
