One of the most famous and adventurous hiking areas in the area! Already walked many different walks and it never gets boring. This route is our favorite and slightly shortened compared to the route of more than 14 kilometers traced with signs. Count on a trip of about 4.5 hours. We regularly walk on rocks, so the walk is dangerous in wet and wet weather!

The route starts from the Sedoz car park on the N633 where several walks begin. Be there early as the parking lot fills up quickly and then you will really have to make an effort to park the car somewhere.

The first kilometers run along and through the Ninglinspo, the only mountain river in Belgium with a descent from 420 meters to 170 meters in 3 kilometers. The Ninglinspo is an attraction in itself with many waterfalls and rapids. Everything is easy to see via the many bridges. Over the years, many bridges have been improved and added, so if you remember the boardwalk from 10+ years ago, it has improved (2020). After reaching the plateau through a jungle of plants and shrubs, there is a fairly easy walk on a wide path with a length of more than 2 kilometers. After logging on the plateau, there is also a lot of variety with beautiful views.

Halfway along the walk, we reach another tributary of the Amblève, the Chefna. Along the Chefna, we descend to the Amblève. In the last kilometer to the village of Quarreux, we find two beautiful picnic areas (9.1 km and 9.6 km).

The last kilometers of this walk run along the Amblève and line 42. The walk along the Amblève is fantastic! What cool images it produces. Here are many rocks in the river (Fonds de Quarreux). Walking between l'Amblève and line 42, we also have beautiful views of the railway here and there.
