From Eupen to the Wesertalsperre via junctions

With the train line Ostend-Eupen, the wonderful east of Belgium is surprisingly close. The station in Eupen is less than two hours by train from Brussels and offers endless possibilities for nature walks. Additionally, the East Cantons are expanding their hiking junction network.

This walk starts at the station in Eupen and takes you through beautiful forests to the Wesertalsperre, a reservoir that resembles Scandinavia more than Belgium. Following the valley of the Vesder (Weser in German), you walk back to Eupen, and via the lovely historic town center, you reach the station again.

From the station, you walk to junction 92 in the hamlet of Nispert and then follow these junctions: 92-69-55-35-51-47-46-9-17-33-1-39-66-16-35-78-81-25-20-88-57-5. From the St. Nicholas Church in the heart of Eupen, it’s a short distance to the station.
