Unterbreizbach is located in the lower Ulster Valley. In the municipality, the river that gives the village its name, the Breizbach, flows in on the left as a tributary, colloquially referred to by the locals as "die Bach." Notable elevations include the Lohberg in the east and the Ulsterberg in the south, as well as the massive potash heap between Hattdorf and Unterbreizbach.
The southern districts are located in the catchment area of the Oechse, with the left tributary Sünna. The Dietrichsberg and the Sattelsberg border this side valley.
The grape oak, known locally as the thick oak, at Kornberg was designated as a natural monument in 1956. The Sophie Lime tree in front of the church, a winter lime tree over 150 years old, was placed under protection in 1994.
