The Vercors Regional Natural Park is a regional natural park created in 1970, straddling the departments of Drôme and Isère3. The Maison du Parc (headquarters) is located in Lans-en-Vercors.
The Vercors NRP covers 83 communes3. Its territory, covering an area of 206,000 hectares, is located in the Vercors massif, between the Isère valley in the north and Diois in the south and 53,000 inhabitants live permanently3.
The information relays of the Park present thematic interactive areas, especially on outdoor activities in Lans-en-Vercors, on the geology and the Hauts Plateaux natural reserve in Chichilianne, on energies in Château-Bernard (pass of L'Arzelier), on the Olympic Games, the tram route, and the Moucherotte in Saint Nizier-du-Moucherotte, on the flora of the park at Beauvoir-en-Royans, on the water at Pont-en-Royans, on the Natural Space of Ecouges in La Riviere, on the vineyards and Clairette in Die, on various aspects in Crest and Saint Nazaire-en-Royans4.
The information points, offered by many tourist offices and by the Water Museum, the Cave Jaillance, the House of Mont Aiguille, the River and the Convent of the Carmelites, are inside and outside of the terroir of the park4.
