The large chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows houses two painted terracotta groups of statues, attributed to Andrea della Robbia: the Manger, with the fresco of the Cavalcade of the Magi by Benozzo Gozzoli, and the Adoration of the Magi. The chapel can also be accessed separately from the cathedral, through a side door, with a completely autonomous function;
Also in this room is a lesser-known chapel, dedicated to the Most Holy Name of Jesus, where a tablet with the monogram of Christ, presumably painted by Saint Bernardine of Siena, is kept in a rich silver reliquary.
In continuation of the facade, separated from the cathedral by the chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows, rises the rectangular bell tower, with twelve stained glass windows and four eyes; it was built at the end of the 15th century to replace the old one, which was in danger of falling into disrepair.
