MORE THAN 50 YEARS OF SKYDIVING IN LUXEMBOURG
The Luxembourg Parachute Circle a.s.b.l. was founded in 1965. Since then, it has been thriving with freefall enthusiasts who work on a voluntary basis. This is evidenced by the shed and clubhouse, which were established by the members a few years after its founding and are still in use today.

The association is based in Nörtrange, a small village in the municipality of Winseler in the north of the Grand Duchy, and has remained active since then. Every weekend, when the weather permits, skydivers meet to share the same passion and make a few jumps together.

During its existence, CPL has also introduced hundreds of people to skydiving. Whether using the conventional method S.O.A. (assisted opening jumps) or the more modern method AFF (Accelerated FreeFall), the association has greatly contributed to the development of the sport in Luxembourg, and the number of members has continued to rise.

For a long time, it operated with a Cessna 182, LX-PCW. Designed for 4 skydivers, the small capacity of the aircraft, however, limited the club's options. While we did our best to meet the growing demand with this small airplane, we had to consider an alternative...

NEW AIRCRAFT, NEW OPPORTUNITIES
In 2011, CPL purchased a new aircraft, in this case, a GA8 Airvan, known as "Felix." This acquisition is more important than 8 skydivers and marks a turning point in the history of the association. Since then, several thousand jumps have been made with this aircraft, including a variety of tandem jumps and student jumps.

The next challenge for the association will now be to find a solution for the hangar which has become too small over the years and for the growing needs of recent years...
