Noordeinde Palace is a royal palace in the Dutch city of The Hague, located on Noordeinde. It is the working palace of King Willem-Alexander.
Since 1984, Noordeinde Palace has been used as the working palace of the monarch. Every year, from here on Prince's Day, the royal procession departs for the Knight's Hall. After the ride, the family briefly appears on the balcony. The king receives new ambassadors on Wednesdays, who come to present their letters of credence. This is accompanied by some ceremonial elements. There is music, a ceremonial guard, and the ambassador is brought to the palace by carriage.
Noordeinde has been used several times as an occasion for the Dutch people to say goodbye to the deceased Prince Claus of Amsberg, Princess Juliana, and Prince Bernhard of Lippe-Biesterfeld. On the days of the funerals, it was the departure point for the ceremonial transfer of the remains to the crypt of Orange-Nassau in the New Church in Delft.
But the palace is also used for more joyful events. For instance, the congratulations registers were located here for signing after the births of King Willem-Alexander's children, Princesses Catharina-Amalia, Alexia, and Ariane.
